Creative Living Online - Second Workshop

The second workshop for our project focused around content for the Creative Living course that we will be our pilot course online. We discussed copyright issues and learning outcomes primarily. We also did a little bit of team building (!) and agreed on tasks we were all responsible for. This was a helpful step as we all came away with a clear idea of what we needed to accomplish individually throughout the coming weeks.

Tasks for the coming weeks included David / Meg / Stephen to meet and discuss learning outcomes, assessments. Damien / Naomi to research using audio / powerpoint / multi media options in Moodle. Heather to research copyright guidelines. Don to provide information on online pedagogy. Meg to supply Learning Outcomes descriptors. Debbie to begin to put together a brief Moodle training presentation. Trudy to provide link to Australian Quals Framework website. Trudy to confirm Elluminate session with Greg Wood of Yellow Edge. Trudy to work with Stephen and Meg to set up Christology and TAA sites.

The last task listed above was particularly fun and really encouraging for me as facilitator. As we had had some training in Moodle in our first workshop, and we had created a Moodle classroom specifically to hold the resources for this project, the team were becoming more and more familiar with the Moodle interface.

Consequently, we have two more classrooms in Moodle that are currently being put together by project team members. In fact, students are already using them. This will be really helpful for us to obtain feedback from the students as we go.
